Times Square, the dynamic, throbbing heart of Manhattan for most visitors. A crossroads of the world. Thirty years ago this glitzy hub was the home of head shops, porn shops, and all-night kung-fu flicks. You can get a glimpse of the old Times Square in scenes from the movie "Fame." Not a few aging New Yorkers are a bit nostolgic for those drooping, seedy days.
